When Upwards CEO and Co-Founder Jessica Chang was pregnant with her first child, nearly every mother she knew told her to immediately start looking for childcare. She began touring daycares only to discover that all were completely full with long waitlists and prohibitively expensive for most families. It was time for a change. After banding together with two other Co-Founders, Jesse Forrest and Matt Reilly, Upwards was created to help families find quality caregivers and help caregivers set up and run their own childcare businesses.
